Building LIVE Solution: Real-Time Passenger Information for 5M+ Travelers
At SNCF Connect, passenger satisfaction hinges on real-time accuracy. The LIVE Solution platform powers the real-time passenger information displays across hundreds of French train stations, serving over 5 million daily commuters.
Role & Organization - React Technical Referent: Embedded in an Agile SAFe organization with 42 developers across 6 squads, providing frontend architectural direction, code quality governance, and cross-squad alignment. - Core Interfaces: Developed and optimized `LiveIHM` (interactive station maps), `AFL`, and `TFT` operational display boards.
Cloud-Native AWS Serverless Stack - Compute & Orchestration: AWS Lambda services in TypeScript coordinated with AWS Step Functions for multi-step data ingestion pipelines. - Storage & Events: High-throughput Amazon DynamoDB tables for sub-millisecond status lookups, backed by Amazon S3 for historical archives and Amazon SNS for notifications. - Monitoring & Quality: End-to-end telemetry via Amazon CloudWatch and Datadog APM, enforcing SonarQube quality gates (Maintainability Rating A, zero critical security findings).
Test-Driven Development (90%+ Coverage) Because railway disruptions cannot tolerate display crashes, we instituted a strict TDD/BDD discipline using Jest and RobotFramework. Achieving over 90% test coverage resulted in near-zero critical bugs in production across national traffic peaks.
